Money raised by individuals for the purchase of goods and services has the disadvantage of having to utilize essential resources of staff in terms of time and exspertise in decideing on what goods and service the moneys will be spent on and then having to source those goods and services.

A further disadvantage is that often prices paid are at retails rather than wholesale levels. This is due to the fact that many recipients organizations of charitable funds do not have the bulk buying power of larger companies in order to procure goods at wholesale prices.

The company can donate of their goods whilst only being out of pocket for the cost price of the goods. This can be a substantial savings for charitable organizations that would normally have to purchase these products at full price if thery were to be able to afford them at all.

The Enigin company was kind enough to donate an Enifice. Not only did they donate the product, a full years maintanence was offered as well as free installation. Training and support of staff was also given. The enifice will continue to be of further benfit to this hospice local to the company based in
<place>Cornwall</place>. This is due to the nature of the enifice itself which help to provide energy savings throught the year.

Maybe company giving is the way to go when wanting to raise funds for local charities. This blog seems to prove its probably good practice to approach companies that are open to helping charitable causes especially if you work for them.

The village where I live is much like many other English villages. It has a church which annoys all the villagers when it plays its bells every morning, a shop which is called a ‘corner shop’ yet is nowhere near a corner and never was, and scandal – typical village, murder-she-wrote style scandal (plus one man who has three horses and is obsessed with equine liability insurance, as you would be when one of them hates the other two). I’m not talking about murders in this case, though, I am talking about women who have lots of children and pay for all of them using money given to them by the state. In this case, one particular woman and how disgusting it is that she has twelve children already, and is now pregnant with the thirteenth!

This presents an interesting dilemma. When will she stop? Will it ever end? Of course, we all know it has to stop somewhere, and that the end is somewhere within the next ten years, but that doesn’t stop the speculation and the angry hush-hush voices–

What to do about people who keep having children and are subsequently putting a strain on our country’s already strained resources? Who knows. Just don’t ask the opinion of people around here because the answer you might get – and I know this from standing in the queue at the alleged ’corner shop'– might worry you a little. It never ceases to amaze me how cruel people can be when it comes to the state of our country and what we need to do to fix it.

Why is it that children have temper tantrums? Why does it seem they always want to throw one when you are out in public? Temper tantrums are a way for children to express their anger and frustration. Tantrums are common in both boys and girls and is a normal thing in toddlers. I remember when I was in a toy store with my four year old and she started throwing a temper tantrum because I told her she couldn’t have a new set of baby clothing for her favourite doll. All it took was for her to turn around and see the display of teddy bears for her to forget all about it.

When your child is throwing a tantrum it is best to remain calm. If you yell and scream your child will respond negatively. Also, during a tantrum, do not waste your time trying to reason with your child because they will not listen to reason. There is no reason that your child’s tantrum should result in your hair loss. And as the best answer is normally the simplest, it is the same with this case, just remain calm. Simply ignore the tantrum and then talk with your child after they are through. This not only shows your child that you are not going to be responsive to tantrums, but that you still love them and are willing to talk afterwards.

The internet makes our lives better in so many ways. I don’t think I need to tell you, after all, you just had Laser skin resurfacing and ordered that thing from Amazon and that holiday you’re going on in three months time was all booked online. But there is one thing that the internet is not good for (aside from not meeting people in real life and not going to the supermarket to buy food from a real human being). And that’s writing, people. And I don’t mean real writing.

Ever since people have been allowed access to the web, bad writing has been about. On forums, on message boards, and in emails. Suddenly, almost over-night, people forgot how to write a letter, too. I have met people recently – and this is not a joke – who didn’t even know how to write a letter and where to put what. You could say this funny, but come on now, it’s tragic. What would the first letter-writers say? Those who wrote using a quill and ink and spent hours perfecting just how to do a pristine S?

If I had my way I’d make everyone do a course called How to write properly online and not offend people before they were allowed to even ring the communications people up and book them to come round and sort out internet.

It might seem like I am upset, and you’re right dear reader, I am! So next time you consider using dreadful writing, think twice about it. We’ve already lost the ancient art of hand-writing. Let’s not make this thing next.

So what are other people saying about your company?

Click the link and head on over to the right-hand side of the page: Blog Roll and Resources. Then move down, down, down, to the last two words at the bottom: The Runt. Click on that and voila, up comes another blog. Then scroll down to the Teaching old dogs new tricks article and you’ll see how Enigin fair on the old age and experience argument…

It’s a fair question: can a relatively new company cut it? Is it possible for them to get effective results when they haven’t been in the game as long as their competitors?

It’s a question which dogs everyone who’s new to anything, and we’ve all had it at some point in our lives. New to a job, can we do as well as someone who has that much more experience?

Whether it be a job, or a new company starting out in the business of energy-saving, it all comes down to trust, of course. Once that trust is earned then people find themselves wondering why they were ever negative in the first place.

Obviously, it’s understandable that some people might be skeptical where global warming is concerned. There are so many messages out there (most of them confusing), that sometimes it feels as though the real truth is impossible to find. And that’s where Enigin shine. The company have adopted a no-nonsense approach to giving out information. On all their blogs you’ll find all kinds of articles on all kinds of things. The common thread is always the same: it’s about how we can go about doing business but keeping it good for the environment, of course.

Website design: easy, right? Wrong! Of course, there are packages out there that let you build your website yourself, but that doesn’t mean that they really tell you what looks good. The point is that the people who sell these packages don’t care if your site looks good or not. It’s a business thing and that’s it, so if you want a stonking good website then it’s up to you to get the right kind of advice and the right kind of help.

Where to get this help? Search online, springs to mind. And yes, of course you can do this. There are literally thousands of websites which have all kinds of information and advice on them. But again, the web is completely over-saturated with this kind of stuff. It’s very difficult to work out what’s good and what’s–Well…Actually quite terrible.

There’s another option, of course, but this will cost you. Yes, you got it, you could employ someone who actually knows what they are doing to build your site. This may sound expensive, but in reality, the amount of money you will generate from having a really good website will make the initial expensive costs worth it. And, more to the point, someone who builds websites for a living will have their finger on the pulse when it comes to SEO (search engine optimization) and other important marketing things, too. It’s up to you, of course. Just make sure that whatever you do, you know what you’re doing and what it is you’re trying to achieve. Building a website is a lot like wearing a turquoise bum bag : you have to do it with a certain kind of style, or you’ll end up looking like a berk.

When it comes to spirituality, there are three common approaches: religion, witchcraft or astral travel. All of these spiritual venues have problems. Religion often stifles spiritual independence, while witchcraft can sometimes evoke the powers of evil forces, (even if that wasn’t the intention). And astral travel can be very scary, especially if a person inadvertently transports themselves into a lower plane.

So, with that being said, is there an additional option that can allow a person to discover their spirituality? There is, but it’s something that’s often been associated with different monikers… visualization, The Secret, meditation, etc. But in my opinion all of these titles point to the same practice; daydreaming.

Now, for many people the thought of being a daydreamer means you’re only thinking about your aspirations, not actually doing them. However, what they fail to realize is that nothing happens without a person daydreaming about it first, even if it’s something minuscule such as having a hair loss treatment.

For example, what do you do when you’re waiting in line for lunch? If you’re hungry you’re thinking about what you’re going to eat. You may even visualize yourself enjoying what’s on the menu before you actually make an order. This form of thinking could be considered a small daydream.

For greater spiritual purposes, daydreaming can help you get in touch with your subconscious to help unravel your mind’s creativity. This is especially helpful for creative writing, where more visual thinking could be essential for determining what you’re going to say.

Daydreaming can also help for religious purposes. Consider a person that is dealing with temptation. With daydreaming, they can visualize conquering the evil. Maybe the visualization could involve the light of God, or the person directly rejecting the temptation, (such as putting down an alcoholic drink).

This logic can also be applied for a person in need of spiritual healing during a time of physical illness. If they’re sick, they can visualize the light of God infiltrating every cell and making them normal. True, such thinking won’t take the place of medical treatment, but it could make such treatments more effective, (since the body becomes spiritually stronger).

In conclusion, don’t discredit the spiritual power associated with daydreaming. It allows you to live out your dreams without the consequences associated with other more direct forms of spirituality. It can even help you achieve a higher sense of morality, if you decide to use religion to express your spiritual side.

‘Marketing’ is a shameful English word which really needs to be changed to something nicer sounding, in my humble opinion. If the word ‘Marketing’ was replaced with something like ‘Hawaii’, ‘Lovely’, or ‘Gorgeous’ we would all love Marketing and smile whenever we heard the word it should have been. We’d finish the week and look forward to a weekend stuffed with marekting. But alas the word ‘Marketing’, to many people, has the same effect of a spit in the face or the words “I think we should just be friends, what do you think?” And you can’t blame people for having something against marketing and the people who do it. It’s everywhere: In our faces through advertising, on the internet. People even call you up when you are having Sunday Roast and want to chat about things to do with Marketing–which will only take five minutes….(a very long time in the world of a Roast Dinner…)

But marketing isn’t all bad, not by any means. So don’t panic about it, you can relax. You can read about energy-saving super company Enigin’s ideas concerning the M word by clicking the link.

I have to say I was impressed. Why? Well, I have an awful understanding of numeracy, marketing, and anything connected to convincing lots of people about something, so I should be one to know. But it turns out that it isn’t as complex or sinister as I once thought. No, there are ways to market which are good, and an attitude to doing it which is healthy. From what I can gather, it’s even possible for marketing to sometimes be fun. Now, that’s something I’m always interested in.

Why is it that Great White Sharks have been demonized for centuries, yet Grizzly Bears, an equally ferocious creature, has always avoided detection as a ruthless killer? The answer’s obvious! Bears have fur, sharks don’t. But, even if I could suddenly give Great White Sharks an evolutionary growth-spurt-miracle then I don’t think I could go through with it, mainly because I am slightly freaked out by wet fur, I will seriously strap on some running shoes and dodge any animal with wet fur by every means nessecary. Ever since a dog attacked me at the age of seven (I was seven, the dog looked ageless, as snarling vicious dogs do) I’ve had an enormous fear of that stuff–so the idea of being attacked by an enormous furry shark is just too much to bare.

There are other good reasons why these eponymous Bears can get away with doing pretty much whatever they like, of course, and quite rightly: Grizzly Bears come from <country-region />Canada</place /></country-region />! Not that I am an expert. (While I can’t accurately attribute the actual place where a Grizzly Bear first growled its first GRRR!, I do know they live there en masse and are considered a national treasure.) <country-region />Canada</place /></country-region /> is a great country, therefore Grizzly Bears, no matter what sins they commit or how many they commit daily, will always be lauded. And quite rightly! Overall, more people are, statistically, killed by falling alien spaceship-parts every year and staring too hard into the eyes of cats (my statistics, but accurate I think), than by unprovoked Grizzly Bear rage. And who could blame them even if they did have to occasionally lash out? When you weigh a thousand pounds and are lugging massive sharp claws about, life has got to get you down.

The guys and girls at Enigin are all about questioning the things we take for granted on a daily basis. Rather than most business web-sites, which have the audacity to believe that every human invention is an important and essential one for mankind to never be without, the Enigin Money site doesn’t hold back voicing its opinion, in this case about all things financial. Hit the following link and write a comment about money if you feel the burn; good or bad, they would like to know your thoughts.

And it’s a good point. Money may be something we now cannot live without, but is it really worth the fibre it’s printed on? Well, clearly not if you look at the facts: the strangest thing about money is that it’s not worth a damn thing until you buy something with it. Sitting in a pile it’s as good a currency as banana skins and piles of nuts and bolts. (Not that you should think that a good reason to rob a bank, of course. Unless it’s a bank full of either banana skins or nuts and bolts, and even then I’m sure you’d be in a lot of trouble.)

So, you could say the whole money thing got me thinking about where we’d be without money. I mean, as much as I like the idea of bartering with sheep and goats and mules for digital cameras and laptop computers, can you imagine lugging all that lot in to town? No, I think the debit / credit-card wins that fight hands down.
