Get it Right
Website design: easy, right? Wrong! Of course, there are packages out there that let you build your website yourself, but that doesn’t mean that they really tell you what looks good. The point is that the people who sell these packages don’t care if your site looks good or not. It’s a business thing and that’s it, so if you want a stonking good website then it’s up to you to get the right kind of advice and the right kind of help.
Where to get this help? Search online, springs to mind. And yes, of course you can do this. There are literally thousands of websites which have all kinds of information and advice on them. But again, the web is completely over-saturated with this kind of stuff. It’s very difficult to work out what’s good and what’s–Well…Actually quite terrible.
There’s another option, of course, but this will cost you. Yes, you got it, you could employ someone who actually knows what they are doing to build your site. This may sound expensive, but in reality, the amount of money you will generate from having a really good website will make the initial expensive costs worth it. And, more to the point, someone who builds websites for a living will have their finger on the pulse when it comes to SEO (search engine optimization) and other important marketing things, too. It’s up to you, of course. Just make sure that whatever you do, you know what you’re doing and what it is you’re trying to achieve. Building a website is a lot like wearing a turquoise bum bag : you have to do it with a certain kind of style, or you’ll end up looking like a berk.
