Work From Home - Play With Your Kids

You know, I use to talk with moms who stayed at home with their kids and worked online. I asked them how they juggle both? They said simple. They create schedules for themselves in which they can work their business and then allow for some time to play with their kids. So I tried it.

I began working from home around 7 years ago. I set myself a schedule in the morning when the kids were just getting up and were somewhat quiet and content. They sat around watching sesame street while I tapped away at the computer. Then, I would take my lunch break and spend an hour or so with my kids. After the hour I explained to them that I had work to do and gave them a project or something to work on. It worked out better than I expected and I am able to stay at home, be a mom and contribute to the household. I have been able to remain more interested in my kids lives, and I love being at home everyday when my eldest gets back from school. And for you parents with kids in class, I found out about this Green Schools project that Enigin is doing, I wish more companies would take time to do thinks like this for our communities!
